Family Friendly Summer Activities

TRY WATERSPORTS!
Waterskiing, wakeboarding, paddle boarding, or wake surfing can be very fun and will keep you and your kids entertained for hours while making memories. While they do require some level of skill, they are all fairly easy to catch onto if you are relatively coordinated and in good health to do so. If you already know how to water ski or wakeboard, teaching your kids is a fun way to bond and have something in common. If you don't know how, you can try and learn with them. This will result in some laughs, but either way, your kids will think you are the coolest parent ever.
TAKE THE KIDS FISHING!
What better way to relax than waiting for the fish to bite? You can fish right off land or cruise around in a boat or kayak to find the best fishing holes. The fish tend to bite in the mornings and evenings, so fishing is a perfect way to start or end your day on the water! It is also a fun activity for kids. They will have fun playing with the bait and seeing the fish, and their first catch will be a great photo memory!
DISCOVER A COVE ON THE LAKE.
Take the boat out on the water and explore all your lake or river has to offer. Whether you prefer a slow, romantic cruise or a fast-paced joy ride, either one is a fantastic way to spend the day. One of our favorite activities is to find a cove or inlet and anchor for a little afternoon adventure. A great addition to every adventure is to pack a picnic and a cooler to link up with your friends for an impromptu boat party!
GO TUBING!
For those who love the thrill of life, watersports like tubing may be right up your alley. Pretty much anyone can enjoy this activity, from little kids to teenagers and adults. It all depends on the boat driver and how extreme he or she makes the ride. Just make sure to communicate with the tuber beforehand to determine if they want to take it easy or go for a full adrenaline rush!
