November Events.

Until next year boating season!

November is here and we are sad to see the boating season come to a close, we have a few tips for our customers when it comes to preparing your boat for the upcoming winter season and how you should spend this time off of the boat.

With fewer boats on the Lake that is an indication, it is time to start the process of winterizing your boat, dock, toys, and more. Winterization is a vital step to ensure your investment lasts longer and comes out in the spring with no damage. Poly Lifts boat lifts, dock accessories, and more can help with the winterization process. While we are counting the days till the spring boating season starts, Poly Lift is bringing you some November events to enjoy & pass the time! We hope to see you out enjoying these events with your boating friends and family this month!

Pinktober Mammothon 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, Lake Regional Imaging Center

Lake Regional is making it easy for women to check that first mammogram off their list with a special scheduling opportunity just for first-timers. Women can make an appointment for the Pinktober Mammothon if they are at least 40 years old and have never before received a mammogram. These appointments are for screening mammograms — not diagnostic mammograms — which means they are not for women who have any symptoms of breast cancer, such as a lump, change in breast appearance or breast pain.

Registration is required and opens Wednesday, Oct. 5, at lakeregional.com/FirstMammo.

Insurance will be billed, or there is a self-pay option.

St. Patrick's Festival of Lights

The Festival of Lights at the Shrine of St. Patrick, Hwy 5, Laurie, is the oldest light park in the area. It was started in 1981 with hundreds of lights decorating the buildings and grounds and has continued to grow each year. With 4,000 strings of lights, over 60 automatic timers and more than 350 extension cords, the Festival of Lights has turned into one of the major places to see. Instead of animated displays, the focus is on the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus and His Mother, Mary.

St. Patrick Festival of Lights will be open daily from 5 – 10 p.m. from Thanksgiving through January 8th. There is no charge for this beautiful light display, it is simply our gift to the community.
